Privacy Controls for Seekers

We understand that those seeking clothing assistance may want additional privacy protections. You can choose your privacy level:

  • Anonymous: Only your city/region and clothing needs are visible. Donors cannot see your name or contact information until you approve a match.
  • Verified: Your profile shows verification status (verified by caseworker, church, or self-verified) without revealing personal details.
  • Full Profile: Your name and basic information are visible to potential donors.

Information Sharing

We share your information only:

  • With Matched Users: When you're matched with a donor or seeker, relevant contact information is shared to facilitate the exchange.
  • With Shipping Partners: Address information is shared with carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) when shipping is arranged.
  • With Clothing Closets: If you use our directory to find local clothing ministries, we may share your general location to provide relevant results.
  • For Legal Compliance: When required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

We never sell your personal information to third parties.

Data Security

We protect your data using:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest.
  • Secure cloud infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers, D1, R2).
  • Access controls and authentication.
  • Regular security audits and monitoring.

Data Retention

  • Active Accounts: Data is retained while your account is active.
  • Fulfilled Needs: Completed requests are anonymized after 90 days.
  • Deleted Accounts: Personal data is deleted within 30 days of account deletion, except where legally required.
  • Analytics: Anonymized usage data may be retained for platform improvement.
