Welcome to Clothe Quest. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms of Service. Our mission is to match people in need of clothing with donors who have exactly what they need — restoring dignity through the right clothes at the right time.

Using Our Platform

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Clothe Quest. Users under 18 should have parental or guardian consent.

Account Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and truthful information.
  • Keep your login credentials secure.
  • Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.

For Those Seeking Clothing

  • Accurate Needs: Post genuine clothing needs with accurate sizes and purposes.
  • One Active Need Per Category: To ensure fair distribution, please don't post duplicate needs.
  • Prompt Response: Respond to matches within 48 hours to keep the system efficient.
  • Confirmation: Confirm receipt of items to complete the match and help us track our impact.
  • Dignity: Our platform exists to serve with dignity. We welcome all who have genuine needs.

For Those Donating Clothing

  • Quality Standards: Donate items that are clean, free of significant stains or tears, with functioning zippers/buttons.
  • Accurate Descriptions: Provide honest descriptions of condition, size, and any defects.
  • Clear Photos: Upload clear photos that accurately represent the items.
  • Underwear and Socks: These items must be new with tags.
  • Timely Communication: Respond to matches promptly and arrange pickup or shipping within reasonable timeframes.
  • No Commercial Activity: This platform is for charitable giving, not reselling.

Prohibited Activities

The following are not permitted on Clothe Quest:

  • Posting false or misleading information.
  • Selling items or soliciting payment for donations.
  • Harassing, threatening, or discriminating against other users.
  • Using the platform for any illegal purpose.
  • Collecting personal information from other users without consent.
  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits.
  • Posting items that are damaged, soiled, or unsafe.
  • Automated access or scraping of our platform.

Matching and Connections

Clothe Quest facilitates connections between donors and seekers. We are not responsible for:

  • The quality or condition of donated items.
  • Interactions between users outside our platform.
  • Items lost, damaged, or stolen during pickup or shipping.
  • The accuracy of information provided by other users.

Users should exercise reasonable judgment when meeting for pickups. Consider meeting in public places and bringing a friend when possible.

Shipping

When shipping is arranged through our platform:

  • Donors are responsible for proper packaging of items.
  • Shipping costs may be covered by the donor, a community fund, or in some cases the recipient.
  • We are not liable for items lost or damaged in transit.
  • Tracking information should be updated in the platform.

Clothing Closets and Organizations

Our directory includes third-party clothing ministries and organizations. Clothe Quest does not operate these closets and is not responsible for their operations, inventory, or policies. Information in the directory is provided as-is and may not always be current.

Intellectual Property

The Clothe Quest name, logo, and platform design are our property. Content you post (photos, descriptions) remains yours, but you grant us a license to display it on the platform for matching purposes.

Disclaimers

Clothe Quest is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

  • That matches will be found for every need or donation.
  • The accuracy of user-provided information.
  • Uninterrupted or error-free service.
  • The quality of items exchanged.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clothe Quest and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or interactions with other users.

Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your active listings will be removed, and your data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms periodically. Significant changes will be communicated via email or platform notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.
